In today's world, the sports cars are fast, furious and very sleek. They can be fun to own and fun to drive. In United States, the craze over the sports car took a little time to catch on, but with time people started to realize the power of these high end cars and its popularity grew like a wild fire. The Europeans would drive sports cars at that time due to their road infrastructure, they offered great handling as well as great fuel efficiency. At the time when soldier started returning from the war, they started looking for these fast cars out in the market, but they did not get any in America.
In fact, no manufacturer was aware that this kind of car would come in
demand at any point of time. As a result, import of such cars increased by
quite a margin. The model which was most sought after was Morris Garages. The
car was versatile, small and still it was easy to maintain.

American companies started building these types of
cars to compete with the foreign car companies. So, finally in first half of
1950s, General Motors came up with the sports car which was made up of fibber
glass - totally new material at that point of time. In the second half of
1950s, Ford came up with the sports car but in a year or so it was realized
that Americans were also looking for the comfort in the car that was not
available in the European cars. Finally, GM came with the car named Thunderbird
that took the American era big into the sports cars.
With the time, the sleek sports car became more and
more affordable and people started asking for the addition of more comforts.
Slowly and steadily, the car became more functional and almost converted into
the regular automobile car that is simple to drive with lots of facilities.
With the time, the sports cars have become fast, attractive and safe. In
today's era, the highest speed of a car can go up to 450 miles and that is
really fast.

The Sports Car
The best sports cars are defined by their driving

quickly and can break on a penny all the while being street legal. It is no
wonder then, that we love them and we love to talk about them almost as much as
we love to drive them. So while this list may not match yours, it does
